Orbit Oddities Demo OUT NOW!

Today is the day! The free demo for Orbit Oddities is now available on itch.io - and we couldn’t be more excited to finally share it with you.

Orbit Oddities Gameplay

You play as Keke, a small but eager robot aboard a spaceship suddenly thrown into chaos. The crew needs help, the ship is in turmoil, and gravity? Gravity is just a matter of perspective. With magnetic feet that grip every surface, no wall is too steep and no corridor too daunting - the floor is simply wherever you need it to be.

Orbit Oddities is a cozy, narrative sci-fi adventure. Not a traditional puzzle game, not a platformer - a warm, charming, and surprisingly clever exploration of a spaceship full of characters who each have their own story to tell.

As Keke, you roam the ship freely using a 360° magnetic movement system: every wall, ceiling, and floor is walkable. Help your crewmates with their everyday problems - and slowly learn what brought this wonderfully odd bunch together in the first place.

Built for comfort gamers, pixel art lovers, and anyone who just wants to unwind without ever feeling overwhelmed.

What’s in the Demo?

In the demo you play as Keke, guided along by Keibeo, the extraterrestrial NPC aboard the ship. The rest of the crew? They’re waiting. Each crewmate has their own room - you’ll see their portrait and get a sense of their personality - but their full stories are saved for the complete game.

What you’ll experience:

  • Keke’s 360° magnetic movement - redefines where “down” is
  • A first glimpse of the nine-character crew through their rooms and portraits
  • Narrative objectives: explore the station, help characters, piece together the story
  • Cute, expressive 2D pixel art throughout

Fresh off GG Bavaria 26

We brought Orbit Oddities to GG Bavaria 2026 last weekend - and the response blew us away. 122 players of all ages stopped by our booth, and the reactions were immediate and genuine:

“This game was made for me.”

“Love it: the robot decorations are incredible! Why does Keke need a pillow though…”

“Incredible: the robot, Keibeo’s voice, and the whole decoration!”

“Mega cute, baby Aika.”

“I celebrate the worm!”

“One player wanted to take the meanest character home as a business card - and got Ada.”

“Not confusing at all like others with the same mechanic - simple, and you always know what to do.”

“Something completely different. The mechanic and everything is so cute!”

“I want to do the playtest!”

“I’d like to translate this for the Chinese market - for free!”

Meet the Crew - in the Full Game

Keke isn’t alone up there. The full game features nine characters with their own personalities, secrets, and quirks - like Ada, the ship’s brilliant chief engineer - a sharp-eyed marten - who secretly keeps a loving journal about her self-built robot daughter Aika (officially just “scientific notes”, of course). They don’t appear in the demo, but players at GG Bavaria already fell for them just from their portraits and the stories we hinted at.

One of the most common things we heard:

“I want to take all the characters home with me!”
